Hip Hop Duende
Hip Hop Duende is an energetic and exciting interactive performance which focuses on the body as a rhythm maker. A unique fusion of body percussion, hip hop and flamenco, Hip Hop Duende takes participants on an exciting journey into the duende (or magic) of rhythm and movement.
Your group will experience:
• The body as a rhythmic instrument
• Flamenco moves and grooves
• Body percussion routines
• Hip hop spoken word
• Rhythmic team building
• VAK approaches to rhythm
• A multi-layered finale

Hip Hop Duende is designed for Years 5-12 students, and this performance is authorised through the Performances for Schools Program, managed by the NSW Department Education & Training. See www.schools.nsw.edu.au/pfs
Teachers' notes with accessible activities for the ongoing exploration of rhythm, hip hop, flamenco and body percussion are provided. Annalise and Claudia also offer teacher training sessions and ongoing workshops in schools.
Relevant to a wide range of Syllabus Aims including Music, Dance, English, PDHPE, and even Maths, students are encouraged to express themselves and discover exciting 'ways into' rhythm, movement and spoken word. Emphasis is placed on inclusion and team building as students participate, learn and have fun throughout the performance.
